Bowden Consultancy was established in 1997 by Michael Bowden. In 2002 Bowden Consultancy started trading under the name Bowden Environmental. Since then the company has expanded its operations and services which relate to all aspects of groundwater and surface water consents, effluent discharges, management plans and storage, water supply and services, reticulation, resource management, site investigation and ecology. March 2017 marked the 20th anniversary for the company.

Significant experience has been gained over the years and is routinely called upon to provide in field data collection and analysis (e.g. aquifer testing, surface water gauging, and water quality testing).

The company also has a broad experience of council and environmental court hearings, compliance and environmental monitoring programmes and reports.

Each member of the staff has their own specialty ranging from engineering to geology to business skills. Between them the company has worked on the investigation and the assessment of the environmental effects on flood protection works, waste discharges, groundwater abstractions, surface water abstraction, gravel extraction & stockpile, effluent discharge and storage, works within riverbeds, bores and galleries, step and constant discharge tests.

We look forward to a bright future as your choice in a Canterbury owned and operated environmental consultancy.

A specialist in business strategies and planning, combined with sales and marketing, Michelle works alongside her clients to achieve their goals. She will also assist clients to follow a plan that is relevant to an opportunity or crisis situation.

The solutions she provides for her clients are outside the square thinking in these rapidly changing and challenging times. Michelle is a SME Business Strategist with a relationship foundation focused ethos.

She provides a personalised service that is tailored and reflective of the client’s needs and ambitions, whilst also providing a suite of fixed priced targeted programmes with the definitive end goal in mind.

A strategist is different from a consultant, coach, or advisor as they are taking the long term approach and have a range of other services that they offer. The strategist is very much targeted on the end goal and has a sniper ethos to achieving the identified goal, whilst being aware of all the surrounding environments.

Michelle MacWilliam is a very talented woman with many strengths and talents within her business repertoire. With such a diverse set of skills, she cannot be put into a square box and has a proven history of success with her clients as well as receiving independent third party recognition as an acknowledged finalist for the Professional Service Award in the North Canterbury Business awards 2014 and 2014, Westpac and Fairfax Women Of Influence category finalist as a regional and local influencer.

Michelle’s clients are from a range of different sectors and industries but they have one common dominator, they realise they need to implement change to achieve their goals. They are passionate people with a willingness and commitment to embrace change in incremental steps that moves the business on a forward motion to the identified goal,  be it increased sales, better margins or a work life balance that will serve them, which are the top three issues facing an independent business owner today.

Using the professional services of Michelle-Mac Business Strategist may not suit everyone to achieve their goals, people need to be held accountable and take responsibility for their actions or inactions as the case maybe.

Michelle Mac is described as her clients missing link, is she yours?
